MORPHINA
Morphina creates performance at the intersection of free improvisation, open compositional forms and interdisciplinary practice.
ABOUT
Morphina is an electroacoustic duo formed by Paola Lepori (piano and voice) and Simone Menozzi (live electronics).
Their project explores themes of inner space, memories and wandering identity through poetic text and audiovisual approaches. Within a sonic language of repetition, resonance, noise and silence, Bach-inspired structures meet free electroacoustic improvisation.

La Stanza del Mare
Centred of the image of a room that "did not need us", the piece weaves together poetic storytelling, prepared piano, voice and live electronics. Through whispered narration, distorted voices, metallic piano textures and fragile sonic apparitions, the performance moves between stillness and tension, listening and transformation. A distant Bach fragment emerges from silence like a memory resurfacing from an unknown place.
Morphina hunts at night
where inspiration becomes poetry
and intuition takes shape in sound.
